Okay April, if you could stack a few more things into your first day, that’d be greaaaaat.
– Easter
– April Fool’s
– Camp NaNoWriMo day!
– Something I’ve already forgotten! Yay!
I’ve spent the entire weekend running around with kiddos, making magic happen, coloring eggs, and eating copious amounts of food.
Hey man, when you’re the Hostess with the Mostest, you make it work.
Now that the Easter Bunny has successfully come and gone, it’s time to hunker down for Camp NaNoWriMo! I participated last April and completed King of Diamonds, a feat that I managed to master in 18 days. This year, I’ve put my goals in as getting to 30,000 words on my current WIP– I put one witchy YA novel aside for now, focusing on my redhead story.
Which I love and am just SO excited to finish up!
But I’m also being gentle on myself; 30,000 words won’t spell “The End” for this novel, but it’s a goal I can manage without beating myself down. It gives me the time and space to work around the story’s timeline and knock out some of the first draft funk. (BECAUSE THIS ONE IS FULL OF FIRST DRAFT FUNK AND IT’S KINDA KILLING ME.)
You can follow along with my progress here!
Are you working on a story for this Camp NaNoWriMo? Share you work with me- here’s me being your cheerleader, and also maybe chanting lots of bad words into a megaphone.
GO TEAM!
